Insights & Observations
CSE remains the most competitive branch, with closing ranks around ~4,000–4,500 (AIQ) and ~6,300–6,400 (Home State) in 2025.
E&E, ECE, and EE follow next in higher demand, requiring ranks between ~7,000–11,000 depending on quota.
Core engineering branches like Civil, Mechanical, Chemical require comparatively higher ranks (~17,000–27,000 for Home State) in 2025.
Home State quotas (UP) often have lower (more favorable) closing ranks for many branches, unlike typical trends where state ranks are rough double of AIQ; MNNIT shows an unusual parity and sometimes lower closing ranks for UP candidates.
